The Prime Minister' 'of Ostrobia is the head of government and head of state in Ostrobia, THe individual who holds the office is the most senior leader of the Cabinet and the chairperson of the Federal Security Committee. The Prime Minister has the responsibility of administering the Cabinet.
Almost always, the Prime Minister is the leader of the majority party or the largest party in a coalition of parties in the Ostrobian Parliament. There is no constitutional requirement that the Prime Minister sit in the Federal Chamber or the Federal Council, or even be a member of the federal parliament, however this is always the case.
Alexandria Zwanskee held the office of Prime Minister since 1 September 2017 after the Ostrobian Federal Election. Alexandria Zwanskee is the leader of the Social Democratic Party and she holds a coalition government with the Liberal Party.
